  • The SLIC's (Student Landscape Institute Council) brief is to create a film no more than three minutes long outlining how landscape architects, managers or scientists can make the landscape work for us. Students can look at anything from urban regeneration, changing use of rural landscapes or how to mitigate climate change and are encouraged to be as broad in scope as possible, they may wish to show something happening right now or in 30 years time and you can use any medium; animation, film, stop motion, etc.  Read more

• Green infrastructure seminar

  • Following the popularity of the seminar held in Cardiff, the Landscape Institute will host a free breakfast seminar in Edinburgh. Green infrastructure is a critical approach to landscape management, design and planning. As part of the Landscape Institute's dissemination of its work in this area, the LI and WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) are delighted to invite you to attend a free breakfast seminar which looks at how this approach has been developed at a policy level and how it is being implemented locally.
